CAROLINA MARQUES
Carolina has been working in the Performing Arts and Education field for 10 years, in a variety of roles: project management, international relations, marketing & PR, production of shows and events, as well as strategic and financial management. She’s worked in Porto, Aix-en-Provence, Marseille, Maastricht, Brussels and Lisbon.
In 2020, time has come for her to be of service for those outside the artistic environment. She started off by helping people with “lost” projects locked-up in “deep” drawers, and who’d need them to see the light of day. For this purpose, she created the PNG Lab. The PNG Lab is a hands-on approach to project management anchored in Self-Worth, aimed at empowering teenagers, men and women to create and develop their own strategies to bring their projects to life. She is also currently collaborating with Culturgest – The Caixa Geral de Depósitos Foundation in the coordination of projects funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.
Carolina deeply believes that knowledge is organic, it’s alive, and that all fields of knowledge communicate with each other. For her, knowledge cannot exist without action – the mantra “learning by doing” is part of her life. She has a Bachelor degree in Theatre Production and Stage Management, from ESMAE – School of Music and Performing Arts (PT), and a Master degree in Arts and Heritage Management, from the Maastricht University (NL). In 2020, she graduated with an MBA degree in Management from the University of Lisbon (ISEG). She is now training to become a Self-Worth Academy Associate.
